Rolex unveiled the Sea-Dweller Deepsea in 2008, replacing the original Rolex Sea-Dweller collection. The Rolex Deepsea was like nothing seen before, this serious diving tool harbouring the ability to reach astonishing depths of up to 12,800 feet or 3,900 meters. Rolex had managed to create a watch with the capabilities of withstanding pressures that could crush a submarine.

This particular Rolex Deepsea model 116660 has the ‘D-Blue’ dial colouring, signifying “The brilliant blue to the bottomless black” of the ocean, this was Rolex’s homage to James Cameron’s landmark solo dive to “The Deepest place on earth; the bottom of the Mariana Trench.”

The Chromalight display has a long lasting blue luminescence, this features on the index markers and in the central triangle at the top of the Cerachrom bezel insert, ensuring the key functions are still at your disposal in the darkest & trickiest of conditions.

The Rolex Deepsea is a truly remarkable, record breaking diving tool as well as an imposing everyday wrist watch.
