The Bremont Broadsword collection was developed in honour of the original 'Dirty Dozen' watches and to celebrate Bremont's proud achievement of becoming official partner with the Ministry of Defence (MoD), paying tribute to Her Majesty's Armed Forces.
The new Broadsword Bronze model is inspired by the historical use of bronze within the military world, specifically in naval engineering due to the materials high corrosion resistance to salt water. As bronze is a 'living' metal, each model will react to the wearers lifestyle developing its own unique patina, meaning no two watches will ever be the same.
Sized at 40mm, the MoD bronze casing on this particular model surrounds a 'Dirty Dozen' inspired 'Sotek' (military green-teal colour) metal dial with multiple layers of Super-LumiNova filled Arabic numerals and hands, as well as a sub-second hand at the 6 o'clock position, to complete the original specifications for the British Army. An added feature to the dial of the new Broadsword Bronze is a date aperture positioned at 3 o’clock.
Powering this remarkable timepiece is the BE-95-2AV automatic movement, chronometer rated to ISO 3159 standard. This movement is made up of 31 jewels, vibrating at 28,800 beats per hour and supplying a power reserve of up to 38-hours.
The Bremont Broadsword Bronze Sotek comes presented on the brown nubuck leather strap.
