Three iconic aircrafts that flew during the summer of 1940 are cleverly incorporated into this commemorative Limited Edition model. The Battle of Britain aircrafts featured consist of a Bristol Blenheim, a Supermarine Spitfire and a Hawker Hurricane that all combine to create a propeller blade within the rotor of the watch. Completing the direct RAF connection is a veneer of original wood from the Shuttleworth Collection's 1917 SE5a that features at the center of the rotor.
The 43mm sized casing is crafted in Bremont's Trip-Tick® construction from highly polished rose gold and features a transparent caseback with 5 polished screw heads. This integrated flat sapphire crystal caseback showcases the complex modified calibre BE-16AE chronometer movement who's rotor is finished by the metal and veneer from 4 original RAF aircrafts which flew in WWI & WWII. The detailed black metal dial features hours, minutes, GMT 12 hours, a seconds chronograph at the centre, permanent small seconds at 9H, 30 minute sub dial at 3H, Am/pm disc at 6H and a date display at 4H. The Bremont 1918 also features a Telemeter function, this is an apparatus for recording the distance of something based on time. To complete the luxurious style of this truly special model, the Bremont 1918 White Gold comes presented on the brown alligator leather strap with gorgeous cream coloured stitching.
