Commemorating the long and endearing association with the British Royal Air Force, Breitling have released a Limited Edition centenary collection in 2018, of RAF100 models. The legendry heritage between the iconic duo dates back to the 1930s when Breitling’s on-board flight Chronographs were first installed in RAF aircrafts. As World War II approached, the RAF’s demand for the reliable, sturdy and most importantly, accurate Breitling on-board chronographs grew. Breitling soon found their equipment gaining access to the legendary fighter planes that soon became renowned in the heroic aerial battles.
The RAF100 Avenger II GMT model stands out for its practicality and disinvite styling. The namesake ‘GMT’ function permits a 24-hour second time zone display; the bidirectional rotating bezel enables an option of a third. The ultra-sturdy steel casing is sized at a respectable 43mm. To signify the special relationship, the official Royal Air Force crest prominently features at 9 o’clock on the "Horizon blue" dial. Breitling have been sure to incorporate the famous RAF colours with the blue of the dial and a red GMT hand. Presented on the robust steel bracelet for a seamless finish.
The screwed-In Caseback is engraved by the RAF100 logo and protects the Breitling 32 Self-winding movement. With an impressive 42-hour power reserve and Water Resistant to 300m (1,000ft)
There are usually three standard size measurements; UK, US and European. You can find a conversion chart across all three measurements in our full guide.
The average size for a ladies bracelet is 20cm. Children's bracelets are usually 16cm. If the plan is to add charms then the bracelet should probably be one size up on your normal.
