A letter from our Managing Director
Dear Burrells Customer,
I am writing to you with the sad news that we are closing our Burrells store in Staines. This was a very difficult decision to make, especially as the store has been here for over 30 years. We always wanted to create a store that was part of the community and offered beautiful and unusual jewellery from all over the world. I believe we are still doing this, but due to the Covid-19 crisis, the reduced retail footfall and current uncertainty we have little choice but to close.
As you can imagine, this decision has not been taken lightly. This closure affects not just our customers, but the lives of our loyal staff. The team have worked so hard to keep Burrells Staines running, and we are very sorry that they should now be in this situation. We will do everything we can to help them to find new roles.
We are starting a big closing down sale as soon as we can after the latest lockdown which we anticipate will end in February 2021 when the store will close.
What does this mean for you?
Your items will still be guaranteed by W R Ferris Ltd which trades under the Burrells Jewellers brand. We want to make sure your guarantees are still covered so I'm pleased to say that your checks will need to only be carried out once a year. It does mean that you will need to travel to our Burrells store in Winchester or Tunbridge Wells.
What will happen to any outstanding orders, repairs, exchanges and returns?
If you have an outstanding order or repair that won't be ready before the closure of the branch, please contact us to arrange collection from a convenient location. We can also arrange a home delivery for you. If you have an exchange or return, this can also be managed using the same process. The contact details are below;
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your business over the last 30 years.
Edward Ferris Managing Director
