TUDOR Black Bay Fifty-Eight Navy Blue

Inspired by a legend

The original TUDOR Black Bay Fifty-Eight model with black and gold detailing was released at Baselworld 2018. TUDOR pleased watch enthusiasts by unveiling an exciting new model named and sized after TUDOR's first, legendary divers’ watch; the TUDOR Oyster Prince Submariner watch (reference 7924) released back in 1958.

With demand for the original TUDOR Black Bay Fifty-Eight still very high, the TUDOR Black Bay Fifty-Eight Navy Blue was a resounding success and makes perfect sense for TUDOR to revisit the heritage inspired model only two years later with the additional colour option of blue.

The Essence of Black Bay

As with other models in the famous Black Bay line, including its predecessor, the new TUDOR Fifty-Eight "Navy Blue" features design elements that referrer back to the very first TUDOR divers’ watches.

The domed blue dial of the new Black Bay Fifty-Eight "Navy Blue" is inspired by that of TUDOR divers’ watches of the 1950’s and has adopted the luminescent painted hour markers and signature “snowflake” hands that featured in the 1969 catalogue.

Another characteristic of the first-generation TUDOR divers’ watches acquired by this new model is the large winding crown, enabling waterproofing of up to 200 metres (660 ft).

Of course, being a present-day divers’ watch, the Black Bay Fifty-Eight consists of the same modern-day manufacturing techniques, reliability, robustness and quality that the TUDOR Black Bay collection is renowned for.
